Caralyn DeHaan, DO
520 Railroad St, Bangor, MI 49013
When Dr. DeHaan was six years old, her grandfather passed away suddenly from a heart attack. That was when she decided to become a physician. She chose family medicine because she enjoys caring for families in every stage of life. Dr. DeHaan’s Christian faith has been the greatest influence in her life. She believes that having compassion and reaching people where they are in their lives, health conditions, social circumstances, is possible because God has called her to this career. Dr. DeHaan has a special interest in osteopathic manipulative treatment, women’s health and prenatal care. When she isn’t at work she is involved in her church and hospital related events. “I am a family physician because I enjoy working with patients and their families. I try to get to know each patient individually and treat each concern based on that patient’s specific needs as well as maintaining evidence based practice. I particularly enjoy preventive care. As an osteopathic physician, osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) is a significant treatment option, especially for pain-related concerns.”
