Established in 1932 as a manufacturer of precision screw machine parts, by 1942 Honda had entered into the Telecommunications market by manufacturing plugs and patch cords for telephone switch boards. In 1947 the company was re-established as a full line connector company developing and designing products for the computer, telecommunications and instrumentation markets. By the mid 1980s, in an effort to promote 50 Mil (.050' pitch) connectors for SCSI 2 and 3 applications the company under the name Mhotronics, started marketing high-density connectors and cable assemblies. Today the company offers over 40 connector product lines and specializes in a wide range of cable assembly technologies.
