Acadia Bayview Cottages by Harp-Hawkins Vacation Rental Homes offers six unique Maine coastal vacation rentals in Bar Harbor, Maine on Mount Desert Island. In 2011, our 13th year, we continue to please our guests. All of our vacation rental homes are waterfront rentals offering spectacular views and water access. Our Maine vacation rentals are within minutes of Acadia National Park, downtown Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, and Southwest Harbor, an area rich with vacation activities for people of all ages. Bar Harbor and Mt Desert Island in general is a wonderful place to vacation, the rock-bound coast and soaring granite cliffs. From the stonewall-lined and tree-covered road leading you into our village, to the sweeping vistas from atop Cadillac Mountain, there is a special mystique to Bar Harbor. Nestled on the east side of Mt. Desert Island, surrounded by Acadia National Park, we have welcomed visitors for over a hundred years.
Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park have a wide variety of offerings for visitors. There truly is something for everyone. All of our six vacation rental homes are situated along the shores of Frenchman' s Bay, a remarkable stretch of water. It is likely that you'll see resident American Bald Eagles fishing while you enjoy your first cup of coffee in the morning. A mating pair of these birds nests on Thomas Island, which is located in the bay. Once the summer playground of wealthy and famous Americans, Bar Harbor was celebrated throughout the world as a quiet, beautiful resort village, worlds away from the hustle and bustle of New York, Boston and Paris, today, the "summer people" still come to our island paradise, but many visitors also arrive for the brilliant fall foliage. And more and more, people are coming to experience our winter wonderland and the surprises of spring.

Provided by YP.comGreat place to stay, wonderful views and close to Acadia. The home was very clean and well stocked. There was even a local blueberry jam left for our enjoyment. Will definitely be back!
