Durward's Glen is a Retreat and Educational Center. A nonprofit working to preserve 37+ acres of historic, cultural, religious and environmental beauty in the Baraboo Bluffs. The main lodge includes 30 rooms with 34 beds, including singles and doubles. The lodge can sleep a maximum of 44 people. Rooms are separated into three areas: the east wing, west wing, and original (log) lodge. Rooms are comfortable and clean, with fresh linens and towels, and new firm mattresses. Each wing has a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area. The Artist's Cottage was built in the Gothic style by artist, painter, and naturalist Charles Durward. Private kitchen and full bathroom, small dining area and family room, a bedroom with a double bed and an upstairs sleeping loft with two single beds. Settled near the main lodge and next to Prentice Creek. The Cornerstone Hermitage once served as the Durward's art gallery. Built of locally-quarried stone by the Durwards in the late 1800s. Sleeps two comfortably on two twin beds on the second floor. Beautiful views of the Glen from many original windows. Includes electricity and microwave, but no running water.
