Prairie Fire Children's Theatre is a fun experience for your children. It only requires a one week commitment. It is amazing that they can take that many kids and put on a quality play in one week. They make it very fun for the kids. The one issue with Prairie Fire is their casting. My children have been in over 14 plays and the lead female role was always cast as a very blonde, fairly pretty girl. So the same girl would get the lead part 3 to 4 shows in a row. Only one exception was with Snow White (and who ever saw a blonde Snow White?). So if your daughter is not extremely blonde, they will be disappointed as they get older that they never get the lead role). They still can have a fun experience. It is too bad that the directors can't see past looks when casting (and that they prefer blondes). I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for this problem.
