My father passed away from pancreatic cancer, and his pain and other symptoms were not manageable at home. Journeycare was so compassionate, caring, and helpful - I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. They at first provided care at home, responding to emergencies in the middle of the night and providing resources I didn't know existed. When my father's condition worsened drastically, the social worker was so loving and kind as she helped us make the transition to the hospice home in Barrington. Once there, the staff cared for both my father, and for me. They treated him with respect, tenderness, and compassion. I would recommend them highly. No one could change the inevitability of my father's death, but Journeycare made his final days as comfortable as possible.

STAY AWAY! I was constantly on the phone with the manager. You would think they would be compassionate and caring....wrong! Their facility in Barrington is beautiful, but just when you think your loved is being care for, you get the nurse from hell! They are a "conveyor belt of death". I have nothing but bad things to say about them. I am still waiting for a phone call from someone offering their condolences on the passing of my sister. Very sad and heartbreaking experience.
