I really like the Plata's Mexican Food at this location and I highly recommend them to all travelers and all Barstow residents!

We stopped here after driving by a few times and always seeing people parked in the parking lot. My boyfriend decided to order the carne asada fries which we have had many times before in Arizona where we are from. We waited a few minutes then the lady brought us our to go order. After arriving home and opening up the fries we were shocked to see we paid almost $10 for meat, a ton of cheese, and soggy fries. At other places we have always had guacamole, pico, sour cream, and tomatoes. His was such a rip off that he drove back and returned it. The woman seemed shocked that we didn't want to pay $9.75 plus tax for cheese and meat. We have had better food at taco bell. If you are looking for good Mexican food don't stop here and get ripped off.
