UNRELIABLE AND MISLEADING-

Four weeks ago I was seeking pro bono legal counsel and was in Bartow anyway, so I stopped in and completed an application. I submitted it and was told a week later I'd be contacted by an intake specialist. No such call came. Instead I get a letter two weeks later stating they had 4 attorneys in the entire county of Polk. I was referred to a low-fee lawyer panel # to call. I did, figuring I had a little to spend on a lawyer. I got quoted $5K up to $10K, which was too much. Over the past two weeks, I left Alina, director, messages, but finally she called back. She told me I was denied, so I asked why. She refused to comment. She argued as to why I came to the office at first. Her voice got so loud I decided to hang up.
