My husband and I went there for Valentine's Day. The meal started with very good garlic rolls (knots?). My husband ordered the Beef Pizza and Pasta Fagioli soup. He liked them both very much. I ordered the Cannelloni alfredo which was super good! We had a very nice and attentive waitress as well. Enjoyed and will return...

This restaurant serves delicious food and I am a big fan of Bassano's. Service is always attentive and courteous. Breath of fresh air in Bastrop tx. I agree the other "Italian" restaurant serves pig slop.

Pizza is great but that is it. All other fare tastes like frozen warmed up pre prepared food. Frozen not fresh. Will only order pizza from now on

This place is the best in Bastrop. There is one other restaurant in town that claims they make Italian food. But they don't they make something called 'pig slop.' Bassano's is legit. Reminds me of some places in Pasadena CA. And they do have the best pizza in Bastrop.

So lucky to have Bassano's in Bastrop! The menu is one of the best Italian menus I've seen. Had the seafood linguini with red clam sauce with fresh shrimp, muscles, fish and scallops. I typically don't like seafood, but it was recommended and was delicious and fresh! Felt like I was in Europe. The ambiance and lighting is superb, the building has beautiful architecture, and felt like a fine dining restaurant without the fine dining prices. The service was great, although we were the only ones left late at night. The bread and olive oil dipping sauce (has delicious bits of cheese in it) is a must! The tiramisu was among the best I've ever had! Very rich coffee and liquor taste to it. My new fave restaurant in Bastrop!

Have never given a bad review before but...... Worst service we've ever experienced from a rude waitress, however food was wonderful once we got it.

Egg plant rotini and sampler platter was very good and service was perfect
