Overall I prefer Days inn over any of the motels in Bastrop however it did disturb me when we scheduled for an additional night to stay and there was no issue or problem at the beginning however when we went to pay we were told that they would have to move us to a smoking only room because we were smoking in our no smoking room, this is not the case! We do not and did not smoke in the room like he accused us of but we were sentenced without a judge or jury to hard time in the liver spot room but that's not the end of the story also we were told that we would have to pay an additional $50 deposit and was not told why at the beginning I thought it was due to the accusation of smoking in the room but the clerk said no it's because I paid cash the night before and with cash comes a $50 deposit, so I'm under the impression that there just shopping at the bit too my credit card or the cash deposit for some fraudulent charges so I'm waiting for that to occur however for the most part they are friendly and helpful with a clean property and the amenities are very decent I have no complaints other than the accusation and the punishment for being a smoker and potentially smoke being on our clothes that they have very sensitive snouts and that should not be our problem because we enjoy a clean smoke-free environment just like the next person so stay here but keep your nose clean and don't drag stinking with you if you don't want to be put in the stink shack area

My husband went to Bastrop for work for 1 night. He held the room with our credit card, and pd cash when he got there. $71 was held pending out of the account for 3 days. The money was released, but 3 days later, aother amount $67 was charged. I called the man, and he sd my husband did not pay cash. We had the receipt!! Further the $67, was not even the price! I and my husband talked to him, & he would not refund the money!! We finally had to call the police. I believe this man fraudulantly used MY MONEY!!
