We found Bird is the Word in early 2008 after our 1st parrot (at least 26 years old) died. We found a new baby parrot at Bird is the Word and have been enjoying her ever since. The people there are great and helpful. They truly care about their birds. We even bring our new baby (Emmy) back for visits and they still remember her. We live in Mt. Prospect, so the store isn't all that close, but the trip is well worth it. The store has almost everything you could need and good advice as well. The store is clean and all the birds are well cared for. I have been highly recommending Bird is the Word to anyone who is looking for a pet bird.
