I had been trying to find a pendant of the balloon house in the movie "UP" for the past couple years. This is my wife's favorite movie. A friend recommended K. Hollis Jewelers and told me they could design anything. I spoke with Karen, the owner, detailing what I wanted. She was very professional and patient in letting me describe my thoughts. This was a partnership and she made sure I felt that. She even let me speak to the jeweler, Bruce, to describe what I wanted and thought. From the first moment of my first visit I felt at ease. Karen told me that she would have some drawings made up to begin the process. It took about a week and I received the initial drawing for the pendant. They even suggested we make it into a pendant broach combination. I was very impressed. I told them to begin. In the balloons I wanted various birth stones placed for members of our families. Bruce actually made the house and balloons into a 3D piece. He made up to four layers while building the house so you could see the depth of the porch. The detail of the chimney and house siding was fantastic. The balloons that did not contain birth stones were raised to look like real balloons. Needless to say, when I gave this work of art to my wife at Christmas, we were all in awe. Karen and Bruce were able to deliver a one-of-a-kind customized piece of jewelry that is truly a work of art. She kept me involved every step of the creation process. I have to give her 5 stars because that is the highest they allow. I can say in my heart that Karen and Bruce should be given 6.

This is the first jewelry store that I've ever walked into where I felt so comfortable so quickly. Karen and her staff made me feel at home from the minute I walked into the store. I brought in a ring that was handed down from my grandmother and Karen helped me turn it into a stunning new ring for mother's day. Great experience, fair prices and they lived up to their reputation.

I felt at home immediately - so different from most jewelry stores. The staff was great and Karen helped me turn my grandmother's ring into a one-of-a-kind mother's day gift for my wife. Can't thank them enough. The entire experience was fantastic. I highly recommend K.Hollis Jewelers.
