My husband and I are renewing our vows July 2013. We decided to do our renewal in the Keuka Lake area and we were looking for a bakery that had good reviews to contact for our cutting cake. We arrived for the consulation but were never told about a fee. We put $75 down, this was in April 2012. We started having problems with our main venue and decided to find another site, that was in our local area and not Keuka Lake. I called the bakery to cancel in August 2012. I was told that there is a $40 consulation fee for there time that they spent with us. Talk about nickle and diming people, that is riduculous and I have never heard of anything like this. I gave them ample time to cancel our order. Mind you we did not spend tons of time on the consulation since they were waiting on customers coming into the bakery. Please be aware this bakery is nothing special and they are definitely out for the money and not the customer. I chose a florist in Keuka Lake that refuses to lose my business and is delivering my order to my new location. That is what customer service is all about.

Growing up in Bath this bakery has always been a staple. They have a one of a kind taste that you will not find anywhere else. If you are from out of town, you may not respect this kind of place if you go to a chain bakery all of the time. Their prices are extremely cheap, and I really don't believe they try and nickel and dime you in any sense. This bakery is part of the community and you can tell they love their customers! I recently moved out of state and they offered to deliver my favorite cookies. I love Betty Kay and I highly recommend everything about this bakery!
