I just stayed at Evergreen Lake Campground for 4 days and had a wonderful time, so relaxing and beautiful. The best part of my stay is that there is a riding ranch 1 mile down the road, named Blue Ridge Ranch, we went for a wonderful trail ride for an hour and the half. The horses were so content and beautiful and very well sound and mannered on ground and with the riding, there are also an abundance of other animals to pet. The price was 30 dollars pp. well worth that and a tip because the tour guide Karen was very friendly and knew the area well. The campground is also very friendly.

Blue Ridge Ranch was a favorite place of mine to be since I was a little girl. It's where I learned to ride and love horses. I spent lots of time with the owners kids and in later years the workers of the ranch. I loved riding up the mountain and enjoying nature and being one with the horse. My parents were good friends with the owner Mike. One winter I even delivered a pair of goats by myself. I still have all the pictures of the black and white goat kids. I was like the proud momma. I miss the ranch and all my friends there over the years. Maybe i'll bringy daughters, now 20 and 21 , there to enjoy what was always such a special place for me. I hope to see Mike if he still owns it!! <3 :) Kimberly Fava

We had pony rides at my 3 year old daughter's birthday party. It was a big hit. Children from ages 3 to 9 enjoyed riding the ponies and the adults enjoyed watching. Blue Ridge provided 2 ponies for one hour at half the price of what another company was offering one pony for one hour.
