A Lil One's Learning Center opened its first location in June of 1981. It is owned and operated by Teri Gomez. Mrs. Gomez has a degree in elementary and early childhood education, and has completed graduate studies in special education. Through the years the business has grown to match Teris personal life. Along with running five childcare centers, Teri and her husband Randy are the parents of six children. As a working mom, she understands the concerns that parents have in wanting the best possible care and education for their children. A Lil Ones firmly believes that children need a loving stable environment. Because of our intense commitment to creating a family environment the average length of employment of an A Lil Ones teacher is approximately four years.

My son started at this daycare as a 6 month old and it seemed pretty safe and quiet. Every few months he would move up to an older classroom and every time he moved, I would get a little more concerned about this place. I finally removed him from the school and switched to a better school. He would run out and greet us when we walked through the door, followed by no one, and we are able to leave without anyone checking to see where he went. He rarely came home in the diapers that I sent with him. He rarely even had his face wiped since he moved up from Ms. Dottie's room. Ms. Debra, Ms. Stephanie, and Ms. Dottie would make sure he was changed and clean before we left the building. After he moved out of Ms. Dottie's class, this no longer seemed important. One of the teachers, Ms. Daphne told me my son looks like Freddy Krueger. No discipline was taken. I asked she not be around my son and she was in his classroom the next week. My son has sensitive skin and had his face broken out several times from them using baby wipes on his face to wipe instead of water and a paper towel. They kept using it after the doctor contacted them personally to quit using those. I have gotten several statements saying that we owed an ungodly amount, just to go through my invoices and find that the director, Kathy, is unable to remember to post the payments on his account. I had to tell her to post a $310 payment 3 times and it only got posted the last time because I requested to stay on the phone until she officially posted it. I put in his two week notice and gave them his end date. I came in the last Monday ready to get the last week over with and was greeted with "I thought your last week was last week... there are no more diapers or wipes for your son" ... Either they failed to tell me he ran out or they gave his diapers away when I gave the two week notice. My biggest regret so far in my son's life was not getting him out of there quicker.

Not the worst people, but I feel my son's education was neglected. I hate to be "that parent" but yeah. My son was suppose to be in there for pre k. He didn't learn anything other than a few songs. After leaving the center my son learned in 1 week something they promise they were teaching him from Aug 22-May. I'm sorry, that's bananas.

Facility isn't very clean. Staff memebers are rude and do NOT stay in rooms while kids sleep. They don't play age appropriate music and are ALWAYS on their phones. The director is amazing though.
