The firm of Atkinson & Martin, Attorneys At Law was founded in 2001 by Elliott W. Atkinson, Jr. and Dorsey C. Martin, III, who have practiced together since 1975 and have a combined legal experience of 75 years. The firm has provided competent and efficient legal representation in most aspects of civil law, including both transactional and trial advocacy practice. The firm’s practice is concentrated in the areas of business, real estate, successions, wills, estate planning, personal injury and family law. Both members of the firm practice in and have experience representing clients before the state District Courts, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, as well as the Federal District Courts of Louisiana, 5th Circuit Federal Court of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court. The firm is built on the establishment of long-term client family relationships, representing many third generation family clients.
