Central Middle School, with its campus in Baton Rouge, La., serves more than 300 students in grade six through eight. The middle school has a library that has a collection of books that include fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as provides various databases, reference materials, magazines and newspapers. The academic institute has several counselors who emphasize character and safety education, violence prevention, and tobacco, alcohol and drug resistance. Central Middle School, a part of the Central Community School System, offers membership to an art club.
