My son attended First Step from 2013-2014 and I could not have asked for a better fit. The lessons, structure, love and care was everything I could have asked for. The directors of this school were more than amazing and I will always remember the love and attention they showed my son as well as myself. My son was only there a year and a half and his last day the director cried her eyes out.

Our son was at First Step from...

Our son was at First Step from 2009-2012 and I am so very happy that we chose this center. The directors, who know EVERY child by name, and the teachers became like family to us. They went above and beyond to ensure that our child was well taken care of and would be a success once he started primary school. This is a larger facility, but the level of organization provides a clean and healthy environment that is focused on fun and learning. Not only do they teach a great curriculum, they instill manners and good values that any parent would find important. These ladies are true professionals at what they do and will bend over backwards to help with any need.

First Class Care

When I looked into this daycare I came across some negative reviews from 2009. I was hesitant about it and the area, but I took the risk to have him near my downtown office. And boy am I glad I did. I don't know what was going on back in 2009 but it is not going on now. The large class sizes for infants scared me, but that fear was gone as soon as I saw the level of care he received. The staff is ample and caring. I am SO happy with this daycare. This is my 3rd child and this is the most I have been satisfied with a daycare thus far. The staff are extremely friendly, loving to the kids, and considerate of parents. My son is 10 months old and loves getting there in the mornings. He loves the ladies that take care of him, as do I. This daycare is a very safe and happy place for your children.

First Step Daycare - Child Abuse

I am giving this daycare a BAD rating because my child attended this daycare from 3 months to 13 months old and I have had three bad incidents so far and he is only 1 year old. They picked him up by his arm when he was 6 months old, clipped his fingernails until they blead when he was 10 months old, and pulled his arm out of socket at the elbow when he was 13 months old. I am scared to bring him back to this daycare, so I am switching daycares. Also, they will not let me view the film when they pulled his arm out of socket, someting sounds fishy here! That's ok, they will never touch him again.
