Provided by YP.comMy family and I vacationed from Illinois to Arizona for a wedding. We always stay in La Quinta Inn's when we vacation having nothing but a pleasant experiance. We love the rates and the nice clean rooms. Then we had reserved the La Quinta in Sedona. Ten rooms about six months in advance. We get to the hotel check in and head to our rooms. Almost all of our rooms were dirty, run down, and smelled of smoke, we ask to have our rooms changed and were told they were booked and did not have any availble rooms. We settle for what we have and start to decide where we are going to enjoy our dinner we get a call from the hotel manager. They apperantly charged us the wrong rate. The rate we were quoted months in advace was being raised by sixty dollars. How can a hotel do this when we have already given them our credit card information and signed the contract? Well they were over booked and had been turning down customers as we stood there to argue our price. As they would get the extra sixty dollars from new customers who had not booked their rooms in advance. They waisted an hour of our family time, (which we were with family we only get to see once every couple of years) and ruined our opinoin of the La Quinta Inn. We then called around for a new hotel that would accomodate us and found the Motel 8. They gave us the price we were quoted from La Quinta and treated us very well. There rooms were clean, updated and smelled of roses.
