Established in 1971, Louisiana Public Broadcasting is a state network of six non-commercial television stations licensed under the Louisiana Educational Television Authority. It maintains a staff of more than 90 employees that handles production, promotion, development, acquisition and scheduling, and broadcast and technical operations. Louisiana Public Broadcasting transmit various programs, such as American Apartheid, In A Good Place, Strike Up the Bands!, Atchafalaya Swamp Revisited, The Young Turks and Congo Square: The Crescent City Concert. It also broadcast regional and national news and public survey programs. Additionally, Louisiana Public Broadcasting relays science and education programs and promotes children education through its Learning Port Web site.
