Never ever buy anything from Mattress Direct. 2-1/2 weeks ago we bought a dual king split ergo Tempurpedic Mattress Set including ergo adjustable base. Before the sale was final I asked the salesman, Brad Doss, what if I don't like the bed. His response was "oh we will glady take it back and give you a refund. Well we slept on it for 5 nights and it is miserable. We went to mattress direct and picked out a tradition king size mattress and box spring set and the salesman did not write a ticket, nor give us a refund for the difference in price. He said he would make some phone calls and see how to handle it. I should have known this was fishy. Two days go by and no word from mattress direct as to delivery date and refund. I had to call them and was told that the ergo adjustable base was nonreturnable. To make matters worse, the base that was delivered was not the base we ordered and the salesman took full responsibility for the error. The total cost of the entire set up was 8,602.00 and they only want to give e a $3100 credit and refuse to deliver the two box springs to go with the king size mattress. They insist the base is nonreturnable, but I do not have the base that was originally ordered and cannot make them understand that I do not have the original base so it is impossible to return something I don't have. The mattress set we chose in place of the temperpedic sells for $1,900 plus tax. They refuse to sell me the box springs insisting that I have to take the ergo adjustable base which is stupid because you do not need the base with a regular mattress. Not once did anyone at mattress tell me the whole set up was not returnable and when I told Brad Doss he was just silent. I even called Temperpedic directly and they said they do not get involved in individual businesses disputes, but if they delivered the wrong base and I don't want the set, they should take it back. Who would be stupid enough to buy a "dual" adjustable base with a single mattress on top for two individuals to sleep on it. The purpose of the dual adjustable bed is so that each person can adjust it to his/her liking. They want me to pay $5,000 for a $1,900 mattress set. This is totally unacceptable and all they can say is "sorry, there's nothing I can do for you." SO PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MATTRESS DIRECT.
