I've been living here for over a month, and I have been in the office almost every week and I already spoke to the managers because all the list of things they haven´t done since I moved in.

First of all, I waited a week to moved in the aparment because of the repairs they were doing, turns out the only thing they did was the painting because, since day one I had a door out of place, outlets not working, some bulbs missing, refrigerator didn't closed, mouldy bathroom, leak under the sink, windows didn´t close, paint stains all over the floor, and some of these got fixed after I spoke to one of the managers and others I'm still waiting for the managers promeses, and also I have water leaking from the bathroom ceiling and pestsI have to take care of because they lose the form I'm suppose to sign and instructions to prepare the place, plus others.

So, in the outside looks like a great place to live, people very nice and welcoming, but what's the point if they don't do their job and lie about it. I'm not allow to do any repairs or get someone else to do them, so here I am still waiting.

If you can get something better for the same price or less don´t try Tigre Plaza.

Expect to pay $150 automatically on move out. I didn't cook or smoke in the apartment but was charged $325 for painting the apartment. $225 for drywall repair, but I didn't damage the walls. They also charged me $110 for random repairs when I left the apartment spotless. They basically charged me $700 dollars for moving out. Oh also the walls are paper thin and you will hear the train at night.

it's safe, on the bus route, and includes utilities

there was a mold issue and they just don't fix anything

and yes, months later a collection agency will harass you for ridiculous charges that the office cannot recall, does not have receipts or anything

Worst two years of my life

I would not recommend Tiger Plaza to my worst enemy. I have lived here for two years in a two brm. Our first apartment was constantly leaking in the bathroom and air conditioning closet. Carpets in the living room and closet were wet most of the time. When maintenance finally came to work on it, a huge hole was cut into the closet wall and was NEVER repaired. Our second apartment smells like cigarettes and pot but neither of us smoke. The so called "updated" apartment is worse than the first one we lived in. The first 3 months in our second apartment, we spent every night getting eaten by bed bugs. It took forever for management to get someone to come spray our apartment. Other problems include: mold on the bathroom walls, electrical outlets not properly placed, the whole apartment is literally uneven. I could go on forever. The biggest problems come from the incompetent office staff. They never put in our work orders because there is just a lack of urgency in there. The final straw was spending 2 whole weeks without Internet service. Oh, and did I mention that it was the last two weeks of school? That's right, no Internet during finals week and they just don't seem to grasp the importance of reliable Internet to college students.

My roommate and I lived there ...

My roommate and I lived there for one year. Their responses to work order is extraordinarily slow. For instance, I reported mailbox defective in the first week I moved in, and I get it fixed until the last week before I moved out. During this period, anyone could reach our mails.

Also, neither my roommate nor me received their moveout statement after we moved out until a collection agency called us about the debit we owed to them. And it took us at least three times to get those documents from the office. Though they claimed they've mailed it to us before, but the same issue happened to one of my friends who moved out at the same time.

Despite of that, they wanted to charge us more than $300 even we cleaned the apartment for almost one week. We could not complaint about all the items (though the painting charge is also high, but they got receipt) except the suspicious carpet cleaning fee about $125 without any receipt to prove.

When we asked about the carpet cleaning issue, neither the office nor the collection agency could give us any reasonable explanation.

I've seen people being charge over $600 after they moved out. We've done well with the cleaning part, what they wanted is just scam our money.

A piece of advice for the current tenants: after you clean your apartment and ready to move, do the co-inspection with the office staff and let them sign the moveout statement under your eyes. Otherwise, they will make it up as their will.

For people looking for a place to live: do NOT live here, beside the move out issue, for the apartment they provide, they are not cheap. Though the office staffs seem very nice when you try to move in, I promise you they will be totally different when you move out
