I began my renewed journey with the Lord when I entered First Assembly of God, Baxter Springs, KS. After the passing of my Dad, my mom continued going to church alone (without Dad). Although I had quit going to church many years prior, the sadness that I felt for Mom moved me to start going with her. The first thing I was impressed with was the love I felt from the folks. I did not know them, but I felt as though I were a family member who had been away, and had returned home. I was made to feel like I was home, and have been going there ever since. The opening paragraph is one that I have incorporated into our Church Bulletin because that is the way I felt when I first started going. DREAM is the official theme of the church.
