about a week ago my husband, son and dughter in law were in Bay City on business and dicided to check out the La Casona in Bay City.

Unfortunatuly we should have gone elsewhere as the food was terriable. My son got Fajitas, that were terriable over cooked and tatesless. Beans and rice were dry and just as tatestless as the rest. My husband got his usual enchiladas and he had ordered beef but got cheese and chicken. I got the taco salad that had not tomato, only had lettuce, gacumale, sour cream and something else I not sure what it was exactly maybe cabbage or something else green. Anyway it was awful, even the salsa was a waterd down celantro oowered mess. The tea was good but that about it. I must say we were all very dissapointed and will certainly not return, My daughter in law shared my sons plate....

It does not compare to the La Casona in Lake Jackson which I give 5 stars to...I met a friend for lunch in Bay City and was happy to see a La Casona there..the service was good I have to give them that ...I ordered the same thing I got from the one in Lake Jackson..the soup tasted watered down and the cilantro was used with a heavy hand as if to cover up the soup..the beef fajitas meat was tender but still overcooked...the salsa tasted somewhat sour and heavy handed with the cilantro...the chips where not as good as Lake Jackson..I didn't like the fact that my table was back to back with another table and the lady who sat behind me kept bumping me from behind...why do u seat two adults right next to children? I like to be able to enjoy my meal without having the lady behind me bump me because she is attending to her 4yr. old daughter! I do have kids so I am not anti kid but how about a different section for adults and what are u doing seating kids in the bar area?? My fajitas did not come with refried beans! got it in Lake Jackson..If u have time to go to the La Casona in Lake Jackson versus Bay City I would say it is worth the trip...also lake Jackson has the ice cream machine on the way out and bay city does not!
