Quality of parts declining badly , many many failures of re-manufactured parts over the past 2 years. As this is not the fault of Mars , it seems that the staff ( Richie ) will back the manufacturer every time ( even with bad part in hand ) . As I am a automotive engineer ( ret.) I am forced ( biting tongue ) to listen to 5 scenarios on what caused the part supplied to fail almost instantly.

Dont waste your time

Bought a fan clutch from them, installed it and it made my car sound like a jet engine. Try to return it or get store credit no less than 24 hours later. Was told by the owner no refund could be made or store credit. Mind you this was all in less than 24 hours. Was then told he can give me the same part knowing that this aftermarket part would not work again. And on top of it all made me drive to pick it up and then asked if I wanted to drive to pick up the other one. They act like they know what they are talking about and service is terrible. So $97 down the drain. Ended up going to Ford and buying the part.

Poor service and pompous:

I called in the morning looking for a part for my Jeep and was told they have "no idea what I'm talking about." Please keep in mind the part number from Jeep was used.



I called later in the day looking for another part, again using the part number from Jeep. The representative from the store proceeded to instigate an argument that I called for this part yesterday, which was of course untrue. I was also told that when reading the part number I used the incorrect information.



I said, "J as in Jason," 1234567. Again, I was corrected and told I should use J as in "Juliet."



There are an abundance of auto parts stores which are kind and can find items when the dealer part number is provided this is unfortunately NOT one of those places.



Go elsewhere.

If you can't find it on earth, you can find it at Mars....... Great store, very knowledgeable staff, well stocked..... I get all my parts here and highly recommend this store....

As their Logo went while growing up in Long Island "If you can't find it on Earth go to Mars". I have been away from the Island for 32 yrs. though whn I need a special car part Mars come through. Just had and issue with my 04 Renedevous that GM discontinued becuase it is over 7 yrs. old. Well Frank at the counter gave me some information that might cure my fuel line issue. Once again I left Earth and went to Mars and got the help I needed. I guess a road trip is in order from Western NY to the Island.
