Have been eating here well over 20 years. The food is absolutely heavenly. The service is always friendly and fairly quick. The chicken friend steak - best in Texas! Fried okra can't be beat!! Did I mention dessert? Oh, there are no words capable of adequately describing the bliss of their lemon meringue pie!!!!

Recently moved to town and let me just say wow! -- But, not a good wow. The food was entirely too greasy, the fries that come with the burger are like 3 giant potato wedges (way too overcooked) and our service was terrible. My husband waited 10 minutes for a refill on his dr. pepper and when the girl finally did stop by our table, she told him to take the straw out of his cup because "that's just sooo disgusting". It's okay if you want your customer to take the straw out, but leave out the part that you think your customer is "disgusting". Needless to say, we won't be back. --- Why is this place so popular again?

My family and I had dinner one evening, I heard wonderful things about this place- I tried and absolutely was amazed! We had one of the best steaks ever! (Homestyle cooking)-GREAT!

although i haven't ate there in a long time from what i remember as a kid going in there with my parents and two brothers the food was great the service was above and beyond i especially remember the fries and the big burgers.if i ever get back to the area that will be the first place i stop. I have been eating here since my parents brought me in on my 16th birthday. It is the best food there is. Not to mention the nice employees. Sit in Jan's section.
