I strongly advise all of those looking to have their tubs refinished that they AVOID Armor Coat Refinishing. In June 2009 I hired Armor Coat Refinishing to refinish my bath tub. In December 2011 I called to explain that my tub only after two and a half years was pealing and chipping in multiple locations on the tub. The first chip was small (the size of a pencil eraser) and appeared about 7 months ago. Since then the chip has expanded and recently additional chipping and pealing has occurred unrelated to the original chip. When I explained my story to the representative at Armor Coat Refinishing he explained that the 7year guarantee is now null and void because I did not make them aware of the original chip within 2weeks of noticing. But I did make him aware of the additional locations that are chipping and pealing that are unrelated to the original chipping. He did not understand my disappointment with the service that was provided. After 2 years the tub should not have chipped at all let alone in multiple locations. The original application was obviously not done properly whether it is due to not prepping/sanding the tub properly or application technique. They should be held liable for the faulty work that was provided and try to work something out. The gentleman explained to me that there was nothing he could do and that I would have to pay the entire purchase price again. I have attached multiple photos of the chipping and pealing. STAY AWAY from this Company!
