I brought my 1986 Honda Shadow VT700C to this shop with a slipping clutch problem. I was dealing with Ed, and Bill at the time. Ed determined the bike needed the steel and fiber discs replaced in the clutch, and also said needed an oil change. Ed told me with Bill standing right their that the cost would be $300.00 to $400.00 tops, and should be well under $400.00 so I approved the repair. A day later I called the shop and spoke to Bill who told me the cost was $498.00. I didn't and woudn't have approved $500.00. I would have went in another direction with this one. I went to the shop to pick up my bike and an hour later after riding I had no clutch again. I returned my bike to their shop and after a couple days was told by Ed that they can't get the Clutch spring, and it was an obsolete item. I took my bike back in the same condition it was when I first came to this shop with no clutch. I spoke with bill about the $500.00 dollar charge that I didn't approve to begin with and requsted some of my $500.00 dollars back because they didn't,and couldn't repair this bike. Bill refused and basically said he will throw an oil change at me next time I need one, I told Bill no thank you and I will change my own oil. So here I sit with a Bike with no working clutch just like it was when I brought it to this shop, only I'm $500.00 poorer.
