When my sister was diagnosed with Major Depression, Recurrent with Psychotic Features we were all worried about her mental health. The doctors explained to us that she may undergo bouts of depression, hear voices, see hallucinations, be paranoid, think she had diseases, various other body issues, and be suicidal. Other doctors had suggeted electroshock therapy, which is an indicated treatment, but we chose intensive inpatient therapy, outpatient recovery, and antipsychotic meds. She is doing much better.
