I am in love with this pottery and have an extensive collection of it. I have pieces dating back to the beginning of when Mr. Rice started making his beautiful pieces. I have the iris pattern, the wheat pieces and the cat tail pattern. I even have several of the new pieces he presented last year 2009 just a solid blue with a different look. I love my butter holder, bowels and the mixing bowls. The sugar bowl in the blue is great as it has a spoon spot where the spoon goes and is held in the jar. I am hoping that this year I can get the salt jar to match the blue sugar bowl. I love this pottery and think Mr. Rice is a genius pottery expert maker. They are very strong and even dishwasher safe although I would never risk washing them in the dishwasher. I love all the beautiful patterns and use my pottery pieces for all kinds of things and put all kinds of things in them. He is a creative genius in my book!
