Southside Elementary School is a learning facility that provides a range of educational services for more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and art. The school also organizes basketball and cheerleading tournaments. Southside Elementary School operates a parent-teacher association and offers reading recovery and accelerated reader programs. In addition, it maintains a staff of over 15 individuals. The school provides special education programs for gifted and talented students. Southside Elementary School also maintains a school council and library and media center. It is owned and operated by the Lee County School District.
