Be very careful!

Most would expect to get pushed into a contract of one year in this sort of push for membership type of establishment. Still there are other things not explained or just plain lied about that you should be aware of.

First of all buried someplace in the contract is that it automatically renews, without your request or approval. Once it renews itself you are on the hook for another year.

Second, you are told that a key deposit is required, $50.00 currently. One would normally expect to have that returned at the end of the contract. Surprise! You will get screwed out of that (even though I was specifically told it would be returned).

When my daughter ripped off the end of her finger on one of their machines because it was carelessly, improperly and dangerously setup the response was pretty much “Oh that’s a shame”. No acceptance of responsibility at all.

This is the last month of our contract. When I went in to close things out and do right by my contract I was repeatedly told by the young girl in charge “I don’t know, I’ll make a note, ask the manager and someone will get back to you. This is on a weekday afternoon. If the manager hasn’t taken the time to train the staff (in this case the only one there) or given them the authority to make decisions, why are they even there bathing in incompetence while the manager is off playing?

The facility itself seemed all right other than the mentioned incident. I just don’t like being lied to, stolen from and treated like a victim after the contract is signed.

My advice would be to find better people to deal with.
