Don't eat at Plums! We traveled a good distance to eat at Plums for special lunch on waterfront. We asked for a window table, and with only 3 others in the restaurant and all window tables available, we were told that wasn't possible. Really, who is the customer??

When our shrimp salad came it was mostly mayo with local shrimp and no celery as advertised. The wrapped crackers were smashed into the strawberry so as to damage it and the salad. The crackers were stale. The waitress did not return to fill our glasses until the check came.

My guest said they felt rushed like we were eating at McDonalds or some other fast food restaurant. The hostess clearing a nearby table made a point of telling us they were expecting 4 tour buses.

I guess they would rather entertain Northern tours than local folks who could eat there daily . My husband does business in Beaufort and will not be taking his customers there.

There are many other places to better enjoy a memorable lunch--I will not be seeing my friend for 3 years, and our special lunch was ruined by Plums' unsanitary, rude, and rushed customer relations and poor food quality. Go to Charleston where they know how to care for folks. Beaufort is not Charleston by a long shot.
