Monkey bones is far from being the best tattoo shop in Dayton. Went to appointments several times just to find out Mike was a no show. Finally got my tattoo finished to have him refuse to do the touch up. Had to pay Glen Scott to do a good touch up. From what I have heard I am not the only unsatisfied customer leaving monkey bones to go elsewhere.

I've been to alot of shops, including smart bomb, truth and triumphant (full of racist ), blue Byrd, and oasis to name a few. not only are the guys at monkey bones very humble about what they do I'd say there work is superior in quality and way cheaper than the others listed. I've seen more than few bad reviews about jim Collins and andy Blair at monkey bones but when i went there last I'm not sure if they have been fired or just quit, but definitely not there anymore. i was tattooed by travis and will be going back to him for all my work and so will my family.

I got my first tat done here, my dad's got like 15, and he told me to see Travis. He was booked for like 5 weeks, so i had james [i think] do it, and he did a really good job at keeping me comfortable, and making sure i was ok. i thought they were amazing, and as for the "ego".. i really didn't see it. they were very helpful, and not judgemental. i thought it was amazing.

Thought they were great. Everyone working spoke to us. Made us feel very comfortable.

Love the work they do. Definetly recommend them....

I cant say enough about how massive these guys think they are. Like they are some sort of tattoo messiah!



Although a clean(ish) studio, the smell of arrogance ruins any chance of gaining my business!

After alot of shopping around and dealing with alot of egos....I'd say Monkey Bones is by far the best studio artistically and characteristically....kudos to the guys at Monkey Bones!

I had a horrible tattoo... they did a FABULOUS cover-up. Very friendly, funny, professional. Very fair prices.

Monkey Bones is the best Tat shop in the area. All of the artists are really great and it the cleanest shop I've ever been in. No 'attitude' either, everyone was really friendly and made me feel welcome. I'll be back.
