I called this business today to schedule an appointment. I have chronic back pain and arthritis due to a motor vehicle accident in 2010. I was hit by a drunk driver who didn't have insurance. Pain Alternatives, Inc.'s receptionist asked me a couple of questions before I was even able to schedule an appointment. She asked if this was the result of a motor vehicle accident and asked if I was still in litigation. Of course, I answered "Yes." The receptionist told me that I would have to pay privately if I wanted to be seen by this office. So, I asked how much is private pay. She said $200 and up. Therefore, I asked why was this their policy. She said my insurance wouldn't pay. I preceded to tell her that they would that my insurance has been paying for years. She insisted that this was the policy. I have been in pain for years from this accident, This accident caused my broken back. I was hit by a drunk driver. So, this office is making the VICTIM suffer once again. I have had to pay numerous medical bills due to this accident. Now, you want the VICTIM to pay more money, because you want to make sure you, DOCTORS, get paid. Thanks for caring for your patients and putting money above what really matters, people. My insurance continues to pay for my medical bills even the ones from this accident unless it's not covered under my plan such as massage therapy. I will do what I can to spread the word about this office. VICTIMS shouldn't be put through more suffering, so you can make a few more dollars. You can call the insurance company before a patient even comes to your office to ensure you get paid.
