Most disappointing experience with a contractor.

Upon paying the first 50% down, he communicated the process, availability on-site and timeline. NONE of those were correct. His team commented that this is "typical Dan...Never writes anything down and is only interested in making a buck so he tells customers what they want to hear." Upon multiple requests to Dan to review the final product, he no-showed. Even communicated he'd meet at the home one morning and no-showed.

2 week job turned into 4 & the finish work is abysmal. They dropped a tool on 1 of the stairs and took a chunk out. The fill doesn't match, paint on the skirts is different than balusters & tons of gaps around the new stairs. Paint job is brutally bad. The posts aren't even or square. Jean the co-owner pushed hard for payment, rudely so before the job was complete, seemingly their only concern.

Need to hire someone else to fix.
I do not recommend this contractor.

I recently had my oak floors refinished by carey custom floors. They did an outstanding job. I liked them so much I went ahead and had them install new flooring in the dining room and family room. They were very professional and did a beautiful job. I was impressed that they finished on schedule as we had asked. My sister liked the job so much that they are now doing her floors. I will definitely be using them this summer to do our upstair rooms and staircase.

Last week I went to a home where Cary Floors was installing some hardwood. I wanted to see the process as it was happening. I talked to some of the installers and they were very friendly and from what I saw they were very professional. Even the homeowner was very satisfied with them.
