Provided by YP.comShady online practices. Post a very attractive price of a wine that EVERYONE knows the usual tariff for. Take order online requiring the submittal of name, address, email, credit card info, etc. THEN cancel order and claim the wine was NOT IN STOCK. Not priced wrong mind you, that would be understandable, and the RIGHT thing to do would be to offer at least SOME at the advertised price, but NOT IN STOCK.
Hmm.. how did it get in your system at the wrong price, if it wasn't even in stock? OK. Yeah, run. Now I'll probably get endless spam emails...

Provided by YPmobileFound them online and they took the extra time to make sure my wine arrived safely. They reminded me about the heat and the possible damage it may cause and offered to store it for free until it cooled down. Love that extra human touch.

Dec. 2010 I ordered 4 bottles of expensive ($100+/btl) champagne. It arrived in time for me to take one w/me on my annual trip to Spain & Paris for the Christmas holidays. Upon opening, discovered it was "bad"...could have been "corked"...could have been poor storage...whatever....
About a month after I get back home (DC area), I try another bottle and it too is "bad"!
Did I mention that the bottles I bought were all on sale SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW retail?? hmmmm.....
Since I paid w/credit card, thought the company would help...

They said the dispute was between me and the merchant but suggested I get (and submit) supportive documentation for my claim...which I did!
The credit card company ...finally....reluctantly...issues a "conditional credit" which they let me know the merchant can "dispute": read that OVER-RULE!!!
"Fast-forward" to July 2011.
I just now get a letter from the credit card company reversing their credit based on a letter (dated April 2011) from the owner/operator/LAWYER of Bedford Wines.
The letter from BW basically argued that since they (Bedford Wines) were not present to taste the wine when opened (...uh,- yeah, like I always fly my wine merchant overseas to check on my wine!)....they can't tell if the wine was good or "bad"!!!
THEREFORE.... I MIGHT BE LYING to get 2 "free" bottles of champagne!!
This, despite the inch-thick file of documentation I've compiled including 2 statements by REPUTABLE wine merchants that support my claim!!! (and 6 months of phone calls & letters!!)
um,- let's see....maybe I'm lying....
