Bedford High School, established in 1954, is a part of the Bedford City School District, and provides education to students in grades nine through 12. It offers college preparatory programs in various subjects, including English, world languages, family and consumer sciences, technology and social studies. It also offers occupational and career-based education and training. The school offers activities, such as marching, symphonic, jazz and blues band, cappella choir, wind and vocal ensemble and orchestra. It also has Madrigal singers and mixed chorus groups. Additionally, it provides health and physical education. Its health program is a one-semester course providing classes to adolescents in wellness, relationships, mental, emotional and sexual health, and alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse prevention. It additionally provides courses in nursing, X-ray technology, and nutrition and fitness. It also offers training in trade occupations, such as carpentry, dental assistant, firefighting, flower arranging, plumbing, printing and welding. Its technical programs include automotive technology, biotechnology, home maintenance and graphic communications. The school is located in Cleveland.
