Bedford Middle School provides a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades seven and eight. The school is affiliated with Bedford County Public Schools, and offers a variety of programs, such as English, arts, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. It is located in Bedford, Va., and also provides reading, writing, speech, and computer and special education programs. Founded in 1989, Bedford Middle School additionally offers gifted and talented education, music, and guidance and counseling programs. The school offers a variety of sports activities, such as volleyball and football. It has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
