Provided by YP.comWent to my doctor on APG and requested to see a professional for what looked like a skin tag in my ear lobe. They gave me a referral for Advanced Dermatology in Belair. I went there and didn't have to wait long before I was called. They took a sample of the growth. I made an appointment to come back. It seemed to me that they could have called and gave me the results over the phone like most doctors. I got there and they told me I had basal skin carcinoma. Made another appointment to come back and get MOHS surgery on it. Cancer free. Seems to me that the staff seems to be a little cold. I had someone tell me that I shouldn't be in the coffee area. This was after I was told by someone else that I could get coffee. They could just do better with the attitude.

Provided by YP.comI went as a new patient in Nov. just for a normal check up. I am extremely disappointed about my experience. First the PA tried to tell me I had very bad acne and said i needed to be on a medication and topical cream. I had a few zits on my lower chin, which i personally don't consider that bad acne. Then she recommended that i get a mole on my back removed. I explained to her that I have had the mole a very long time, it has not changed shape, size, or color. Every other dermatologist has stated to keep and eye on it. She recommended to remove it right away. I was apprehensive about it but she was very pushy so i got nervous and got removed. The whole appt I felt like she was not listening to my questions and was very rushed. When I left the appointment the secretary said that I would need to schedule another appt to get my results read. I have never heard of this protocol before. I am used to getting results over the phone or in letter. I explained that my work conflicted with there times and she explained that she could fax it to my family dr. Over a month later, I had received a bill for the removal but no results. I called to see if they faxed my results over to my primary MD yet. They said it was now against there protocol to fax over to my family MD. That I would have to set up an appt to get the results read to me. I asked if I would have to pay another co-pay and they said yes. So i still have no results for a mole that i did not want to get removed in the first place. Please do not go here. This was one of the worst Dr's I have ever been to!!

Provided by YP.comI had a cyst type growth on the back of my neck. Of course I couldn't see it. I noticed it was growing and my brother told me it was very red. I was going to call and make an appointment the next day, but when I got up it had decided to open and nasty stuff coming out of it. I called and they told me what to do for that day and made an appointment the very next day. The doctors were extremely nice as well as the office staff. I got there early and was taken in early. They looked at it and knew exactly what to do with it. The lanced it and drained it and told me how to care for it. They said they didn't need to see me back unless I had problems and to call them right away if I did. Everything went wonderfully. My only problem is the distance I had to go to see them, because the office close to me was booked. Thank you for all you did for me.

Provided by YP.comStay as far away from this place as you can -- went in for a simple biopsy on my face and came out with a giant scar that will never go away -- after using a cookie cutter type instrument in the middle of my cheek - they tried to tell me that the scar will go away and it looks like that because it is a new scar but, trust me, what you see is what you get

Provided by YP.comDo not waste your time going here. They will make an appointment with you for a FOLLOW UP and ask you to pay out of pocket because your referral was expired. Why would a medical facility not let you know before you arrive that they will not see you? Call to confirm and when you get there………oh I need you to pay out of pocket because we scheduled you after your referral was expired. They sure can NOT care about the medical wellness of their patients.

Provided by YP.comI went for a physical and my primary care doctor noticed a suspicious mole on my back. He told me I should get it looked at as soon as I could. He referred me to a dermatologist. I called and wasn't able to get in for 7 months! A friend of mine recommended Advanced Dermatology and I'm glad she did. I called and made an appointment for that week! I came in and the office staff was very friendly. They made conversation and were welcoming unlike other offices I've gone to. I arrived early and was called back to the exam room before my actual appointment time. The doctor knew as soon as she looked at me that this mole was concerning. She took a biopsy and explained the possible outcomes. My biopsy came back as Basal Cell Carcinoma. I was worried but the doctor reassured me about the outcome and the procedure to have it removed. She answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable with everything before I left. I had surgery to have it removed and have been cancer free since. I now get mole checks every 6 months and am so happy I made the decision to come here. The doctors are very knowledgeable and I know I can trust them with my health. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
