I just returned from GREAT CLIPS in Bel Air where I received a very sharp looking hair cut am more then pleased with my cut and the service. My stylists was most attentive to what I asked her to do and how I wanted my cut. Was my first visit ever and Penny the stylist did all I asked for and was most polite .To quote Arnold "i will be back" . I have paid far more and was not as pleased as I am with Great Clips! OH and my wife liked my cut as well ! A. Z.

Unfortunately, I could not choose zero stars. My husband ran to get a quick trim and took my 4 year old son with him. He is the best child when getting a cut, and a pretty easy trim to complete. He has long, straight hair (sort of a surfer look). All that he ever needs is a trim around the edges to keep it out of his eyes and from getting too long on the ears/neck. First of all, my husband had to interrupt the girl supposed to be trimming my son's hair because she was too busy complaining about cutting kids' hair. Since he was getting his trim at the same time, he didn't watch closely. My son's long surfer hair was turned into a bad crew cut. The shortest it's ever been, I cried when I saw it. Not only will I never let them go here again, I recommend you never go here! Kids are NOT happily welcomed and don't expect them to listen to anything you say about the cut!!

I used to really love Great Clips for my hair. We started taking the kids there when Cartoon Cuts left Harford Mall. Well, let's just say things are not as good as they used to be. Too many of the staff would rather be elsewhere and they don't hide it. Some have attitudes, many chat too much between themselves or on the phone. Yes on their cell phones while cutting your hair. One girl was in such a rush to leave that she cut our son good behind his ear. I mean she cut him, not a nic. It was bleeding pretty good too. She was such an idiot about it too. She said his hair cut is free because I just cut him. He was still calm at that point til she made a big deal and got all loud about the blood. Then he freaked. She wasn't freaking at the site of blood she was just commenting really loud about it. I wanted to scream at her are you stupid. You don't do that to a young child you're supposed to keep him calm. Anyway she culdn't finish the cut after that, no way would he let her and I couldn't blame him. Took a long while before he would go in any stylists chair anywhere again. The cuts of gone down hill for both the kids and me and unfortunately the first and only time I talked hubby into trying them out they really butchered his hair. Yes we still go there because they are cheap compared to others in the area but we are really picky about the stylists now and will turn around and walk out if not happy with the vibes we get. The cuts are not great quality but i guess its true you get what you pay for. Anyway they'll do if you're not worried about a perfect "do".
