Provided by YP.comWith Dunkin' Donuts Ditching most of it's Trans Fats in it's menu particularly the Donuts, eating at my favorite Donut place isn't as worrisome anymore. Whenever I go back to Maine where I was born and raised, a stop at Dunkin Donut's was a pleasure, and now to find one in my hometown of Belfast is great. Since Partially Hydrogenated Fats are extremely bad for us, I was about to ditch eating any more Dunkin Donuts all together. But word of them changing there oils to a mixture that would be better for us I might just continue to stop for a doughnut now and again on my way through town. And a cup of their delicious coffee to chase it down with! But consumers be aware, Under FDA regulations in effect in the United States, "if the serving contains less than 0.5
Gram [of Trans fat], the content, when declared, shall be expressed as zero." So, don't go buying a six pack just yet... let's say a donut had 0.4 grams per serving of Trans Fat, and you eat four donuts you have just consumed 1.6 grams of Trans fat. Since we don't know for certain how much Trans Fat there is in a Dunkin Donut, I say ere on the side of caution and eat them in moderation. But in my book, I give Dunkin Donuts an Exceptional Rating because of their move towards a healthier tomorrow!
