I had a simple land purchase in the summer of 2016. The closing was supposed to occur on the 15th of the month but the title company was not ready till over a week later. We signed the closing documents and were told that the other party would was not available to sign till the following week but that was all that was required. Eleven days later we were contacted by our realtor that there was a problem with the sale. The seller did not have clear ownership of the land. A representative of Waco Title never contacted us to explain, apologize or provide us their plan to remedy the situation. Our funds were held in escrow for another month while the ownership of the land was attempting to be worked out. It never was. I have since purchased other land and directed the realtor to use another Title Company. I will never use Waco Title again.
