After finding 6 feral kittens under my AC unit and on my porch, left by two feral mother cats, I attempted to bottle feed them and raise them to an age to be fixed. Unfortunately, I have a very demanding job with daily travel around the city which prohibits me from giving them the care that they need and I can't leave them in a hot car! I live alone. I am a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. I have neutered three feral cats in my neighborhood on my own. I thought surely this no kill center would help me. I offered to donate 200 dollars if they would take the kittens. They did not return my calls. Later when someone picked up, he said they weren't accepting any animals. He said they had too many and had people working around the clock feeding other kittens. I told him that I didn't have other options other than to take them to a shelter that euthanizes. He said he was sorry. This group was just moved into a nice large facility that I'm sure I helped pay for with my taxes. No, I have nothing good to say about PAWS!! I wish I could give them minus stars!
