Despite their price being far cheaper than other options, I would not recommend this business. They began our 7 tree removal project the week before Christmas, cut down 5 trees, removed 3/4 of the chippings, then left. We called repeatedly and they came to remove most of the remaining debris (a whole maple tree) on New Years Eve. We thought this would be a turning point and the job would be completed soon, but I still have 2 trees standing and 1/4 of a tree from the first round of cutting in my yard- over a month after this project started and they were paid for their work.

These guys took down our tree and did a great job of cleaning up the mess. I'd hire them again in a minute!

I recently witnessed a job of theirs in Bellefonte and the guy who was climbing the tree was very unsafe. He wasn't wearing a helmet, had no ear protection, and was wearing a sleeveless shirt that was not high visibility. He was very neglectful and I even heard him complaining that he was exhausted. At that point he should not have been in the tree. One of his cuts made a piece of the trunk swing back and almost hit the window behind him! If this is Troy's Tree Services common practice, I would never hire them.
