so disappointing

My experience at this business was AWFUL the last few visits I had. I WAS a client of over 25 years at this veterinary office, I agree with the previous review listing all the things that are so wrong about this business. It is definitely NOT the same quality of care my pets had received when Dr Hertich, Dr Loyet or Dr Amlung were the owners of this practice. Not going to go into tons of detail, each visit was progressively worse, the last and FINAL visit I will ever make to this practice was one of worst experiences I've ever had in many years of taking my pets to Belleville Animal Clinic. It seems they are just really overbooking their appointments and therefore, diminishing the quality of care their doctors can administer to their patients. I love 3 of the 4 doctors that are still working there, but not the owner or the manager. The management was very rude and impatient with the front desk staff right in front of a full lobby, very unprofessional and uncomfortable for the people witnessing the situation. The staff seemed more concerned with gossiping amongst themselves than taking care of the people & their pets. Very disappointing that after being a satisfied client for so long, I now feel for the sake of my pets it is time to find a new place for their veterinary care. My elderly pet was in distress, when I had called they told me I would be treated as an emergency due to the symptoms my pet was experiencing, this was definitely was NOT the case when I arrived, so much so that I had to bring it to the attention of the front desk FOUR times in the 30 minutes I was waiting in the lobby so they could alert a technician or doctor. The reviewer who wrote "beware of pots that call the kettle black" your review looks like it was written by someone from Belleville Animal Clinic the way it is listed on this page, just makes one wonder how reliable that review actually is. I would highly recommend Dr Burk, Dr Jessica or Dr Spector...if they worked at a different clinic I would have no problem recommending their services to anyone and everyone.

My sht zu was near death

We took Princess to BAC after she had been attacked and it seemed that it would be impossible to save her. When we met Dr. Burke we thought for sure they would tell us to put her down. Dr. Burke helped save our sweet girl and she is doing great. THANKS BAC....

No frills, no silliness

My 12-year-old Shelty had a lesion on his snout which my old vet insisted was a bite from a squirrel or a raccoon. Over the next couple days, the lesion got much worse. I needed a separate opinion, so I took a chance on a place on the way to work that's always busy. The sign said "Belleville Animal Clinic" & they agreed to see us right away. The experience was very different from my old vet. The doctor didn't speak in baby talk, & he didn't refer to my dog as a "baby." Instead, he listened to a history, as best I could provide it, then he did a thorough exam & prepared me for a heartbreaking outcome. Lab results a couple days later confirmed an aggressive form of skin cancer. Precious time had been lost to the bizarre presumption that my 13-year old dog who could hardly run had been chasing pests. Since then, all our vet care has been done by Belleville Animal Clinic. Another writer in this space has named names & said things that seem irrelevant or just not true. I'll grant that the exam rooms could offer the pet owner a chair, & the waiting room could be a little more comfortable. But the staff & the vet care are absolutely first rate. Beware of pots who call the kettle black!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE!

The whole place is DESPERATELY in need of a MAJOR renovation! Lobby is filthy, front desk area looked dirty, cluttered and unorganized, outdated decor, water stained ceiling and grungy floors. Exam rooms are TINY, NO chairs, dirt/dust was visible on counter where instruments were laying that were used to examine animals(obviously used numerous times without cleaning), whole interior needs a GOOD scrub down and paint job. Had issues from the moment I walked in- staff was unfriendly, ignored customers to watch TV, waited 30 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment time before I even got into exam room, THEN took forever to see vet. No one seemed like they knew what was going on.The front desk staff were all teenaged/college age kids, who could not even answer simple questions, in the end they had to call the clinic manager for an answer, after waiting more than 10 minutes for her to call back and she NEVER did call back, walked out with no intention of ever going back! Prices were VERY high, definitely not worth it because my pet did not get quality care and I got pat answers that did nothing to resolve the problems. Don t waste your time or money on this dump, it s been in business a long time and looks like they haven t done any improvements since the day it opened ( to the building or the way it is managed)! They definitely need new management and training program for their staff because I have talked to a lot of people who used to go there but said that it s really gone down hill since the previous owners. I ended up going to Lashley s and my pet s issue was diagnosed and treated in one visit!
