In early summer, I contacted John Kicklighter about doing some work in my back yard. I needed a retaining wall replaced and some draining work done to help my yard drain better and devise a new plan to make my yard drain correctly and not continue to wash out, as it had done in the past. We agreed on a price and a plan to replace the wall and to install some drains to make the yard drain without washing out. He assured me this should fix my drainage problem. n July 18, I paid him a deposit for materials and the work was completed on July 26. Both the wall and the yard looked great at that time. He had a couple minor items to complete which he said he would do the next week. Since John appeared to be trustworthy, I also paid him in full for the balance due on our job.

Since then, as of Oct 05, he has not been back to finished the two items. Additionally, the yard started washing again with the first new rain in early August and continue to get worse each time it rains. I have contacted him many times by email. The first one he answered and said he would be out in early August to check out the problem. He never showed. Now, he does not even reply to my emails. I recommend if you hire him, Do not make final payment until you are sure the job is done per your agreement. I am looking at other options to get the job we agreed on before I paid him.
