Be aware of Dr Avendano. Don't let her perform unnecessary test labs (ask before giving your blood or urine and ask for a copy of your results). Make sure she gives you a clear explanation of your symptoms IN WRITING and prescribe you with the right solution or you will be facing 1,2,3 or more visits. Obviously, she charges for each visit, even if she spends 15 min or less with you. For that she will charge you $100-$400. I went for a mild vaginal infection, 5 visits were not enough for her to provide a definite solution. She even prescribed: "put on coconut oil on the vaginal area for a month" (no kidding). She will justify herself by saying it's only a misunderstanding, but she will keep sending you bills. I asked for a second opinion with a different doctor and she confirmed what I already suspected: Dr. Avendano was not really giving me a treatment for my vaginal infection, she was just getting money from me. Choose another doctor.
