Provided by YP.comEXTREMELY bad attitude. We had our Saint Bernard neutered there. After 1 day of being back home he had developed Kennel cough. After calling the Humane Society in which we were told to if he should develop any problems after the procedure we were rudely spoken to by an Indian accented vet who told us that they could not help us. I was sat next to my wife on the call and she accused my wife of shouting and yelling (which she was not) then when we asked for her name hung up on my wife.
In my opinion, I advise anyone that can take their pet to their local vet and NOT the Seattle Humane Society who appear to be just a 'bring em in and knock em out' setup. The fact that he was totally healthy up to the point of being boarded there for his operation for the day speaks volumes in my opinion as to their cleanliness and general treatment of the animals who stay there.
When we can finally get a hold of this vet's name we will be reporting them to the board for their disgusting behavior.

I originally went here 6 years ago to inquire about adopting a dog. The system is to apply and be interviewed before actually getting to greet any dogs to see if they're a good fit for you- which is annoying especially on days that are super busy and people have to wait a long time to see someone. When my interview came, I was treated really rudely by an adoption worker. I given the third degree because I was a college student, and told that "college student move away and leave their animals". The woman seemed to have a chip on her shoulder about college students and judged me immediately. After an uncomfortable and cold conversation from her side with repeated jabs about irresponsible college students, I left feeling lousy and not wanting to meet any dogs. A later visit I paid a special fee to be placed on a list when a small breed puppy came in, since they are highly desired and adopted quickly. A third visit, weeks later from the second, I saw a small breed puppy there waiting for

After having 3 miserable nights missing Lucky; my gang took me to the Lynnwood PAWs today to look at a young pup called Stella that they had spied on the Internet last night. Well, there's now a new kid on the block; see photos below-

However, she doesn't react much the name- Stella; but seems to respond better when called "Molly". So I guess that's what it going to be- Molly. Although she was still quite nervous in the car after getting out of jail; this evening, she's has really mellowed out after she got a full belly, a bigger yard and some soft rock music to sooth her spirit.

I got Lucky at the Bellevue Humane Society about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, she had a heart attack yesterday (~4:30 PM, 15 Sept 10) and is now gone. For those who may want to see a few images of this "sweetheart" of a dog; I've uploaded a compressed file containing pictures of her:
o "http://home.comcast.net/~dandcs/images/Lucky.zip" (951KB)
I'll be back hoping to get lucky again; e.g. she was the best dog I've ever had.

Provided by YP.comIn 2009 I adopted a dog, Belle, when I saw her on line I thought she might be too active for an apartment. But at the shelter the staff convienced me to check her out, and I did. When I had a alone time with her, she sniffed around looked at me jumped into my lap, loked me straight in my eyes, kissed me, then got down and waited for my response, well needless to say she picked me and I feel in Love. I have had her a little over one year and she is the best, hardly ever barks, which is perfect for an apartment, and she has come out of her shyness, she goes to my work once a month and does pet therapy, she will cuddle with our alzheimers residents. she is loved by all. Thank You to the staff at the Seattle Humane Society, I have found my perfect Friend.
