Glad I did

Bought my second car here, being an out of stater I was cautious of any dealer trying to screw me. Stopped at Executive and found a 2002 Honda in immaculate condition. Repainted, tinted, mechanically sound and no rust. They gave us a great deal and were more than courteous during the entire process. On top of the sale, they gave me all the necessary papers to get the car back home to my state with no problem, and multiple free oil changes. If that wasn't good enough, they've held up on their 90 day warranty of the vehicle. Iv had a few issues arise since the purchase (lock jam, bad ground cable, stripped caliper) and every issue, they covered free of charge. Every issue fixed within an hour, all the while staying courteous. I almost feel guilty to receive such a good treatment without paying.. I can't recommend these guys enough. Iv dealt with a lot of dealers/mechanics and have never had such a fair treatment. I highly recommend executive auto for a used car or any maintenance on your current vehicle.

Two engines!

I purchased a used 2000 Toyota Corolla from Executive Auto in Bellingham, MA. My intention was to give my daughter a dependable vehicle to take to college.

Let me diverge for a minute and give some background on myself. I typically buy used cars because that's the way I was brought up. "Cars depreciate" my father told me...don't waste your money on cars. So I try to find good running used vehicles. The other thing I do often is try to buy from private sellers because I don't trust most used car dealers and figure there is no sense paying extra to get a warranty that in reality will not be honored.

After approx. one month my daughter came home from college and I noticed that the Corolla was very low on oil. I filled it and after a week it was down a quart. I called Chad, the owner or Executive Auto and told him that the car he sold me was burning oil. He asked me to bring the car in and let his guys check it out. I brought it in on a saturday morning, and they checked it out promptly even though they were very busy with inspection stickers. They inspected it for oil leaks, changed the oil and put in an additive that was designed to help engines that are burning oil. There was no charge.

After another week passed the car was again down another quart. I called Chad and he asked to see the car again. His mechanics checked the car again and found no leaks-they were convinced that it was burning oil. Chad asked me what I wanted to do. I said that burning a quart of oil per week was excessive. He asked me "Do you want me to replace the engine?"--I said yes and verified that it would not cost me anything because the car was sold with a 90 day guarantee on the engine. Chad agreed.

I dropped the car off a week later for Executive to replace the engine with a used engine from a salvage yard with similar mileage. Chad offered to loan me a car...I don't believe most used car dealers do that. They had the job done in two days but called to tell me that the replacement engine did not sound right. They asked to run it a while to test it further. As it turned out, the engine delivered by the salvage yard was not acceptable. Executive had the salvage yard deliver a second engine which they installed promptly. Chad showed me both engines that did not work out.

EXECUTIVE AUTO INSTALLED TWO ENGINES IN MY CAR AND CHARGED ME NOTHING. No labor charge, no shop material charges, none of the other charges that dealers usually add on to paid the charge. They charged me NOTHING. He just handed me the keys with a smile and was very happy to present me with a good running car.

I am 62 years old and have never had a story like this to tell. I guess everyone deserves one good used car experience in their lifetime. I got mine. My impression of Chad is that he is a hard working, well-meaning young family man who is trying to build a business during hard economic times. He may get a bit stressed at times, but so does everyone else trying to make a living these days.

I am telling this story because we tend to submit reviews more often when we are dissatisfied, and less often when we are pleased. I do not know Chad or anyone else at Executive and have tried to describe everything that happened accurately. I appreciate what they did and wanted to make sure I gave credit because it is certainly due. After all, I am not talking about a complaint about a water pump or brakes here...I am talking about 2 engines installed at no charge.

Awesome!
